What are fungicides and what are they used for?

Plant diseases are no less sensitive topic than the invasion of insects. Disease pathogens can cause crop death and losses. For the treatment, prevention and protection against diseases, farmers use chemicals called fungicides .

Fungicidal preparations are used in the cultivation of soil, gardens, greenhouses, greenhouses and vegetable storages. In addition, seed material is processed, crops and plantings are sprayed.

Pesticides, which are part of fungicides, stop the growth, development and kill entire colonies of fungi.

Fungicide classification

According to the principle of action, fungicidal preparations are divided into three groups:

1. Systemic fungicides are special in that they penetrate directly into the plant, spreading along the stems and leaves, even where the drug did not fall. They act inside the culture and on the outer surface. Fungicidal preparations have a detrimental effect on warm-blooded living organisms, therefore, simply washing the fetus after using the drug is not enough. Decontamination occurs naturally, the period for each drug is different, so carefully study the instructions for the drug before use;
2. Biological fungicidal preparations - created from fungal spores. In the place where one colony of fungi lives, another cannot exist and develop (including harmful, pathogenic bacteria). The fungal spores included in the composition populate the affected location of harmful fungi, thereby protecting plants from re-disease. This group of fungicides is safe for warm-blooded organisms;
3. Contact fungicides work only in places of application. The effect is manifested only in direct contact with fungi. Less toxic to humans and animals than systemic ones. They are removed from the surface of the fetus under the influence of running water.
