In addition to classification according to the principle of action, they are divided into two groups according to the spectrum of impact on harmful organisms:

1. Continuous insecticides are used to kill several types of insects at the same time;
2. Insecticides of selective action are used against a specific type of pest (anthelmintics from parasitic worms, nematocides from roundworms and acaricides from ticks).
