The most popular variety is the hybrid tea rose , but it is also the most difficult to care for. This type of rose is distinguished by a huge variety of flower colors, large buds and leaves, and is also famous for its pleasant aroma emanating from flowers.

Climbing roses are perfect for vertical gardening. These roses can decorate and even disguise any fences or facades of buildings and thus create an atmosphere of coziness and comfort in your garden. You can control the growth of these roses in the direction you want. The flowers of this variety of roses are small, and the palette of colors is also not great. The most common are red, white and pink flowers.

Polyanthus roses , or in Greek "multi-flowered" roses, can also become the color of your garden. This variety appeared as a result of crossing Chinese and Japanese roses by the French breeder Jean-Baptiste Andre Guyot. The flowers of this variety are not large in size, but their number on one branch sometimes reaches 50 pieces, or even more. A feature of this species is the absence of thorns, or a small number of them. One of the disadvantages of this variety is a mean color scheme. The Floribunda rose variety has collected all the best qualities from the aforementioned polyanthus and hybrid tea roses. This species was introduced to the world by the originator from Denmark - Paulsen in 1924. The sizes of the flowers are, respectively, the average between the two original varieties. A pleasant feature of this species is increased frost resistance and a long flowering period of roses, as well as a variety of flower colors.

How to choose rose seedlings?

Roses are a wonderful addition to any garden and the main task for you is to choose and buy rose seedlings that first of all look healthy and do not get sick from the inside. Consider a few tips that you need to keep in mind so that buying rose seedlings does not give you a lot of trouble.

1. The biggest mistake that most often happens when choosing seedlings is the great temptation to buy a rose bush just by looking at its beautiful flowers. Carefully check the stems and leaves, because they tell about the general condition of the plant.
2. The leaves should be bright green and shiny and never have yellow or brown spots - this is the first sign of a fungal infection. Also, they cannot be curly or deformed - this indicates the presence of an infection with pests such as aphids, mites or white flies.
3. Pay attention to the root system. Roots should not be dry or shriveled. If it happens that the roots have dried out a little during transportation (which should be avoided), dip them in water for a while to absorb moisture before planting.
4. When buying rose seedlings, take into account all the factors of the future location of plants in your garden, for example: the level of shade, windiness and the amount of sunlight. After all, each variety of rose has its own characteristics in the needs of light. Some grow well in the shade, others in partial shade, and others need more sunlight.
5. When buying seedlings, ask the seller for details about a particular variety. Never be specific, for example: “I want to buy Floribunda rose seedlings. After all, it turns out that the last seedling of this particular variety was left especially for you. These are all sales gimmicks, so be careful.
6. And lastly, it is better to buy seedlings from rose nurseries. There are quite a lot of such farms in Ukraine. In the case of buying seedlings from a nursery, you can be more confident in the healthy state of the plant, because they are under constant control, they are fertilized in time and preventive measures are taken from diseases, infections and pests.
