Filter press

Filter press is intended for separation of vegetable oil from solid impurities, formed by mechanical particles of oilcake.
Filter press could be used if it is necessary to separate solid phase and liquid from strong-resistive to filtration suspension. In such cases the technology of filtering at pressure is applied.
Filtering is realized as raw materials go through depth-filtering fiber. Such process is known as "belting".
The construction of filter press consists of a set of plates and frames with perforated surface. The filtering fiber is placed on the filter frame. The openings in the plates create channels across which the filtered material goes through. After passing the filtering fiber, the oil goes in the receiving hopper and the mechanical impurities stay at the surface of the filtering fiber. The raw materials are pushed into filtration system by a pump unit. The compression density between the plates can be adjusted manually of by electro-mechanical way. The filtering system can be cleaned easily.
